Stephen P. Nonn, D-ABMDI
for Madison County, IL Coroner

Stephen P. Nonn was elected Madison County Coroner in November 2000, was re-elected in 2004, and again in 2008.

He served with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department for 26 years and attained the rank of Lieutenant in the Detective Division.

He also served as a member of the St. Louis Major Case squad from 1980 through 2000 and attained the rank of Deputy Commander.

Illinois State Statute, (55 ILCS 5/3-3007), Conservator of the peace. Each coroner shall be conservator of the peace in his county, and, in the performance of his duties as such, shall have the same powers as the sheriff.
